Dhiren Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shah graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University. His first career was in software development and technical support for AT&T Bell Labs and the IBM Corporation. Possessing a desire for a more humanitarian life pursuit, Dr. Shah attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, New Jersey, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Shah completed his residency in radiation oncology at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. He is board-certified in radiation oncology, and has licenses in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dr. Shah is the medical director for Cancer Treatment Services in Buffalo, New York, and is also an assistant clinical professor of radiation oncology at the State University Of New York at Buffalo. His professional interests include gamma knife radiosurgery, prostate brachytherapy, GYN brachytherapy, HDR brachytherapy and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy. Dr. Shah has co-authored several published oncology articles, and is an active member of numerous cancer and radiation safety committees in Western New York. Dr. Shah also sits on the prestigious New York State Board of Medicine. Dr. Shah has performed over 250 gamma knife procedures.
